JioHotstar Enters Singapore With 160K+ Hours of Entertainment

The platform brings multilingual content, live Bigg Boss voting and flexible subscription plans to Singapore audiences.

JioHotstar launched in Singapore, bringing its streaming service, interactive features and subscription plans to the market.

The service offers more than 160,000 hours of entertainment across more than 12 Asian languages, including films, television programming, originals, reality franchises, and kids and family content.

The Singapore launch includes new originals spanning drama, thrillers, comedy and stories rooted in local cultures, alongside content from JioStar television channels. Before-TV access will also be available for popular shows across multiple languages.

Starting September 6, multiple editions of Bigg Boss will premiere together on JioHotstar, with Bigg Boss Bangla already live. For the first time, according to the release, Singapore audiences will be able to vote live across every edition.

The wider library includes originals, reality franchises and films, offering thousands of hours of entertainment for younger audiences and families.

The platform includes personalized recommendation engines and subtitles and dubs across more than 12 Asian languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi.

JioHotstar is offering quarterly and annual subscription plans in Singapore priced at SGD 29.98 and SGD 69.98, respectively.

Existing Hotstar subscribers can continue using the service with their current credentials, while new users can sign up through the App Store and Google Play Store on mobile and connected TV devices.
