CRM expert Jason John has been named by Wunderman Asia Pacific as its head of the network’s offices in Malaysia. He will be succeeding Subramaniam V who is leaving the agency after two years.
John will be based in Kuala Lumpur and reports to Nimesh Desai, managing director, Wunderman Southeast Asia. As general manager, John will oversee both Wunderman and AGENDA Kuala Lumpur. His focus will be on scaling up the offices and boosting their direct marketing and data capabilities, while championing creativity and inventive thinking.
John bring 20 years of integrated brand communications, digital marketing and customer relationship management experience to his new position.
John has also worked at Ogilvy and was CRM head at Publicis Dialog and was last head of Leo Burnett/Arc CRM Malaysia.
“The convergence of data, technology and creativity is what fuels compelling, digitally-led CRM ideas that drive accountable business results for our clients. That’s the heart of what we do at Wunderman,” said John.
“Subramaniam set the foundations for a strong team in Malaysia, and big thanks goes out to him for his leadership over the past two years,” said Desai. “We now welcome Jason on board to expand our offerings in the region. He’s spent the last decade immersed in the world of CRM and is well placed to introduce these solutions to our clients.”
