Brand consultancy agency Interbrand has appointed Warren Wang CEO of Interbrand China, tasked with shaping the strategy and growth of the business in the expanding Chinese market.
Wang, who previously was Managing Director of Omnicom’s Siegel+Gale China, will report to Stuart Green, CEO of Interbrand Asia-Pacific, and will be based in Shanghai.
“I believe that Warren Wang’s vast knowledge and experience in understanding China’s advances in business on a national and global level is a strength that will help Interbrand and our clients tremendously,” said Jez Frampton, Interbrand’s Global CEO.
Commenting on his appointment, Wang said: “I am thrilled to be joining the market leader in brand consulting worldwide, and a very established and successful business in China. There is much to build on and I look forward to leading the business through its next stage of development and growth.”
Prior to Siegel+Gale China, Wang was GM of GolinHarris’, and before that he was the General Manager of FutureBrand for both Beijing and Shanghai. In addition to holding leadership positions, Wang co-founded Netutel Technologies Inc. in Beijing in 2001.
China figures highly in Interbrand’s future plans.
