If Your Cat Doesn’t Love Dreamies, They Must be a Human – Called ‘Cat’

“We invited every human cat we could find to a convention. Eleven turned up.”

Mars-owned cat treat brand Dreamies has launched a campaign targeting a rather specific demographic: humans with the first name “Cat.”

According to the campaign “research claims” that 95% of cats find Dreamies treats irresistible, the new campaign cvia adam&eveDDB aims to prove that any cat that doesn’t love Dreamis treats, must not be a cat at all.

In fact, posits the campaign, the 5% of cats that don’t go crazy for Dreamies treats, must be humans called “Cat.”

To test this hypothesis, the campaign reached out to humans named Cat across the UK, presumably gauging their reaction to the irresistible allure of Dreamies treats. And other cat-like stuff, as you can see in the humorously farcical two-minute film.

“Apparently 95% of cats love DREAMIES, yet we were struggling to find one of the 5% that doesn’t. So we could only conclude that the 5% were actually humans called Cat. And we set out to prove it,” said Richard Brim, chief creative officer at adam&eveDDB.
