Hyundai Has Four Ads in Super Bowl 2016 – Check ’em Out

Hyundai rolled out four Super Bowl commercials to get the word out on the new tech features for its 2016 models.

The South Korean automaker has become a Super Bowl fixture over the years, and this year they roll out some unique spots including two tap the star power of Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart.

The ads are all produced by the US branch of South Korea-based Innocean Worldwide.


 

First Date

In this spot, comedian Kevin Hart greets his daughter’s date at the door and hands over the keys to his new Genesis sedan. Seems like a nice enough gesture –that is until the stalking begins via a smartwatch tracking feature.

Better

This is an odd one. It charts the life of a man born with an exposed V8 engine where his heart is supposed to be. According to Hyundai, the man “strives to make the world a better place.” The nice, accompanying song is When I was a Boy –the latest from the great Jeff Lynne of ELO fame.


 

Ryanville

Another spot features two women distracted by a world full of Ryan Reynolds. The drive eventually climaxes for the women (yes we went there) with the car showing off its emergency autobraking feature.

The Chase

Another spot about Hyundai’s companion smartwatch app, featuring a couple being chased through the woods by bears only to be saved by Elantra’s voice command feature.
