X has suspended the antisemitic account which also had antisemitic tropes in its bio, reported CNN.

Hyundai announced that it paused advertising on X after one of its sponsored posts appeared next to antisemitic and pro-Nazi posts.

Hyundai confirmed the pause in a statement to various media outlets saying “We have paused our ads on X and are speaking to X directly about brand safety to ensure this issue is addressed.”

On Wednesday, freelance journalist Nancy Levine Stearns, who has written about brand safety on X for Hill Reporter, posted a screenshot of a Hyundai ad running on an X account that often posts Holocaust denial and antisemitism. “Hyundai Motor America spokesperson emailed me today about its ad on X appearing on a verified “Premium” account that posts pro-Hitler, antisemitic content,” Stearns wrote.

Joe Benarroch, head of business operations at X, said that the social media giant was working with Hyundai’s marketers to put in place further brand safety controls.  He told CNN that X has suspended the antisemitic account which also had antisemitic tropes in its bio.
