Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific, the Title Partner of the ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup 2026, marked the tournament’s opening with a symbolic trophy procession during the opening ceremony.
Following the official flag ceremony, a Hyundai Palisade entered the stadium via the running track carrying the ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup 2026 trophy, with ASEAN football figures Kouch Sokumpheak and Nuth Sony on board.
The moment highlighted Hyundai’s ‘Driving ASEAN as One’ campaign. The opening ceremony also featured performances by Her Highness Princess Norodom Jenna of Cambodia and Sambath Sok.
“The ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup 2026 is more than a football tournament, it is a celebration of the passion and unity that connect millions of people across Southeast Asia,” said Faraz Shamsi, Executive Marketing Director, Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific.
“We are proud to mark the tournament’s opening by having the championship trophy arrive in a Hyundai PALISADE at the heart of the stadium, symbolizing Hyundai’s commitment to driving ASEAN as one, both on and off the pitch.”

The trophy procession formed one of the highlights of the opening ceremony, setting the stage for weeks of competition among Southeast Asia’s national teams.
Throughout the tournament, Hyundai will continue engaging football fans across the region through on-ground activations, community initiatives, and fan experiences under its ‘Driving ASEAN as One’ campaign.
