AIA Singapore has tapped Tottenham Hotspur player and seven-time Asian Footballer of the Year Heung-min Son, as its first Singapore brand ambassador. Son, who last season became the first Asian player to win the Premier League Golden Boot partners with AIA Singapore as part of the brand’s AIA One Billion movement which aims to engage a billion people across the region to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives by 2030.
According to AIA, Son will inspire people to live better by “promoting holistic wellness in 3 key aspects – physical health, motivation, and mental health, and financial health.”
Son added: “Many of the values and my outlook on life is imparted to me from my parents. As a child, they always inspired me to better myself in all I do, and if I wanted to be the best football player I could be, I would have to outdo myself by being in the best physical and mental health while also respecting others.
To this day, I hold these values dearly that a good frame of mind, a healthy lifestyle and being a team player are important. I am honoured to be the first ambassador for AIA Singapore as we take steps to motivate more people to achieve holistic wellness together.”
Earlier this month AIA named Harry Kane Harry Kane as an ambassador promoting good health in Asia.
“I am delighted to be appointed as an AIA Ambassador. I believe in the value of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and feel it is important to use my position to encourage people to look after their mental health,” said Kane.
“I am looking forward to working closely with AIA and supporting the Company’s efforts to improve the health of communities across Asia.”
