Hakuhodo Acquire Stake in Indian Digital Agency AGL

Hakuhodo Japan has announced that it has acquired shares in Indian digital agency AGL. The agency has grown steadily since its establishment in 2009, growing to 460 staff that offer an array of services to both India-based and international clients, from building digital marketing strategies to creative and content production, digital media planning and buying, social media management and system development.

AGL, which has previously collaborated with the Hakuhodo Group on several marketing projects, was ranked 11th in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2019.

“Our business partnership with Hakuhodo is more than four years old and we have built a lot of mutual respect and trust,.” said AGL’s CEO Rakesh Yadav. “This strategic partnership makes us part of one team with Hakuhodo, and we look forward to providing clients with even higher value integrated marketing solutions.”

 
 

According to Hakuhodo, the investment in AGL “is the first of many to come in India.”
