Solar-driven Tram Shelter in Hong Kong Created by HSBC and Grey Group

The Belt-and-Road Initiative is a blueprint for global economic development while leading the global shift to a green economy. In an effort to do their part to help with the cause, HSBC teamed up with Grey Group Hong Kong to introduce the city’s first solar-driven tram shelter.

Solar panels were installed on the tram roof, absorbing sunlight during the day. At night, more than 60 light bulbs will be powered by the store energy.

“Taking this iconic public transport of Hong Kong as a symbol of the transformation, HSBC embraced the idea of the global shift, leading Hong Kong further into the concept of green economy,” according to the release.
