Google Launches Go Global Small Business Initiative in Singapore

Google, along with other local partners including the Singapore Post, UOB and Spring Singapore, has launched an initiative designed to assist small to medium sized businesses in in Singapore to reach a global audience through the web.

As part of the initiative, people are encouraged to visit the Go Global website for a variety of tools and resources.

Singapore as host for the initiative is, working in collaboration with Toaster, put together website content which, along with informative case studies, features nearly two-dozen educational videos featuring local industry experts.


 

Google Go Global Small Business - Branding in Asia Magazine“The Internet provides tremendous opportunities for SMEs to expand their business globally,” said Andrew Hook, group executive creative director at Host Singapore.

“As well as engaging with the Go Global partners on building an online resource base, we worked with two local heroes, Skin Inc and Swee Lee, to showcase what SMEs can achieve in the global marketplace with the right tools, strategies and digital know-how.”

Another of the videos features Google sales manager Gerald Lee talking about how businesses can get started on the internet.
