Each week, we spotlight five ads that stood out. Some win us over with bold ideas, others with standout craft, powerful messaging, or sheer originality—and a few we just can’t explain why we liked them.
This week’s picks include a time-traveling tale of family love from Thailand, a striking look at workplace stress in the Philippines, Canva’s family-centered film in India, a pickle-fueled brand launch in Australia, and Steve Buscemi’s intergalactic turn for Telstra—plus a bonus from Sweden with Electrolux’s playful “Wash Life Balance.”
CP Foods Touching Campaign Film Journeys Back Through Time
CP Foods, in collaboration with TBWA Thailand \ Juice, has released a touching campaign film that emphasizes the role of food as a silent yet profound expression of love.
The six-minute film opens with a daughter standing by her sick mother; overcome with emotion, she begins to cry as a hole appears in the wall, sending her into the past and setting the stage for an emotional journey.
Stress Literally Breaks an Office Worker in New Campaign from Stresstabs
To address rising workplace stress in the Philippines, GIGIL has created a new campaign for Stresstabs that uses a striking visual metaphor to depict the physical toll of mental strain—in short, things fall apart.
According to the campaign, 87% of Filipino workers experience job-related stress, 11% above the global average. The film centers on “Jemerlyn,” an office worker whose body gradually falls apart from stress, leaving only one arm to navigate daily challenges.
Canva Spotlights Creativity in ‘Dil Se Design Tak’ Campaign in India
The first of two campaign films from Canva in India features veteran actor Dalip Tahil as Jaadu Dadu, whose magic tricks delight his granddaughter Drishti and her dog Chico, but leave his daughter Aaliya, played by Saloni Batra, yearning for a genuine connection.
Drishti uses Canva to design a poster that helps reconcile the family, underscoring the campaign’s theme that design can spark meaningful change.
Get Your Pickle On: Picklebet’s Wild New Ad via Kerfuffle
Picklebet’s first major brand platform, created with creative agency Kerfuffle, makes an unflinching entrance into Australia’s betting landscape. A jar of pickles begins to move, a pickle is grabbed, and the dance party kicks off—fueled by music from Partiboi69. The campaign features a 90-second spot along with three supporting shorts.
Steve Buscemi Plays Intergalactic Villain Targeting Earth in New Telstra Campaign
Actor Steve Buscemi stars as an intergalactic emperor attempting to take over Australia through high-tech scams in a new Telstra campaign that highlights the company’s efforts to protect Australians from cybercrime, including blocking millions of threats each day.
Created in collaboration with Bear Meets Eagle on Fire and directed by Randy Krallman, the campaign films feature multiple storylines in both long and short formats, with the Zalunians’ best efforts repeatedly foiled by Telstra’s network.
Wash Life Balance: Electrolux’s Playful Campaign Highlights Life in Sweden
This one makes it a sixth pick, but we liked it too much to leave out.
Electrolux and Publicis London offer a lighthearted look at life in Sweden, where, according to the campaign film, life is ‘exquisitely slow.’ Anchored by a 60-second film directed by Jesper Ericstam, the campaign playfully shows how smarter technology means spending less time on chores and more time on living—from counting coffee beans for the perfect blend to carving a canoe from a massive block of wood.
