Friday Ad5: Competing With Plants, Sleeping Babies, and 16 Judgmental Dogs

Five campaigns take on plant-parent jealousy, missing Wills, new-mom self-care, English-speaking hesitation, and the judgment of 16 very opinionated dogs.

The Friday Ad5 is our weekly pick of five campaigns worth your attention — creative work that stood out for an idea, an execution, a message, or simply doing something differently.

This week has an unusual amount of family business. Tiger Shroff competes with his father’s plants, sleeping babies give their mothers a little time back, and Brad Pitt discovers that sharing a home with 16 dogs comes with a surprising amount of judgment.

The Singapore Academy of Law uses humor to tackle the very serious problem of missing Wills, while MS Dhoni takes aim at the hesitation that can stop people from speaking English when it matters.

Tiger Shroff’s Toughest Rival Might Be His Father’s Plants

Ugaoo puts Jackie and Tiger Shroff’s father-son dynamic to work in a film imagining Tiger’s backflips, bodybuilding and flexibility as the result of growing up competing with his father’s plants for attention.

Conceptualized and produced by Kulfi Collective, with White Rivers Media as digital media partner, the campaign turns Jackie Shroff’s love of plants into an exaggerated bit of family history.

Apparently, sibling rivalry doesn’t always require a sibling.

When the Will Is Missing, the Search Begins

The Singapore Academy of Law gets some humor out of a situation that is anything but funny: families not knowing whether a loved one made a Will, or where it was kept.

Produced with Cuckoo Films, ‘The Last Sign’ accompanies the launch of SAL’s Wills Repository Service, which allows individuals to securely deposit a digital copy of their Will through participating law firms.

Sleeping Babies Give Mom a Little Time Back

Bepanthen’s ‘Mom’s Golden Time’ reverses the usual caregiving roles, with sleeping babies guiding their mothers’ hands toward small moments of self-care after being settled down for the night.

Created with YDM Thailand and directed by Teerapol Suneta through Suneta House, the film moves through the ordinary things mothers may have missed: washing their hair, applying a face mask and sitting down for a meal.

MS Dhoni Campaign Takes Aim at English-Speaking Hesitation

SpeakX’s ‘Muh Khol, English Bol’ campaign tackles a familiar reluctance to respond when spoken to in English, particularly when getting it wrong can feel easier to avoid than trying at all.

Fronted by MS Dhoni, the series uses humor to encourage greater speaking confidence. The campaign was conceptualized with Mumbai-based ZeroFifty Mediaworks, SpeakX’s Strategic Creative Partner.

Brad Pitt Just Wants Coffee. 16 Dogs Have Questions

Brad Pitt faces a house full of critics in De’Longhi’s global campaign for its Magnifica Duo coffee machine, directed by Spike Jonze with creative by LOLA Madrid.

Produced by MJZ, the film follows Pitt looking for a quiet cup of coffee while his 16 canine roommates question why he got up late, why the dishes are not done and why he is dressed up.
