Volvo has a new video featuring a radio-controlled 18-ton truck driven by a four-year-old named Sophie. Is there really anything else you need to know?
As part of Volvo Trucks’ “Look who’s driving”series, the video, pushing the Volvo FMX model, is a follow-up to previous mega-hits Van Damme “The Epic Split” and “The Hamster Stunt.”
“To show what the truck can do, we wanted to give it a real challenge. What test driver is more reckless than an unpredictable four-year-old?”
Drive on Sophie. Drive on.
“To show what the truck can do, we wanted to give it a real challenge. What test driver is more reckless than an unpredictable four-year-old?” asks Ricard Fritz, Vice President of Volvo Trucks.
This is not the first time Volvo Trucks has set up an unusual scenario to showcase the performance of its trucks. The Hamster and Van Damme (possible movie title? were both, like the Sophie spot, made to show Volvo’s impressive engineering. Props to that.
