Foodlosslla Attacks Tokyo in Campaign Against Food Waste from Ajinomoto

“What’s important is a little seasoning and a little creativity.”


An enormous beast is terrorizing Japan, and it’s not Godzilla, it’s… Foodlosslla!

As part of a new campaign from Ajinomoto Japan to highlight that the country currently discards over 2.4 million tons of usable food every year, Hakuhodo Inc., Tokyo has created  “Foodlosslla, What Should Humanity Do?!”

The campaign features a short, campy film directed by award-winning director Takashi Yamazaki who directed Godzilla Minus One. The fun piece of ad work aims to generate awareness of household food waste in Japan and help reduce it.


Various methods of combat prove useless until, at the end of the film, with Ajinomoto’s seasoning and cooking utensils in their hands go after the beast.
