First Cosmo, now FHM to Stop Publishing in Singapore As Well

In the wake of Cosmopolitan’s announcement in August that it will be closing its doors in Singapore, now FHM magazine, also another racy publication, but for men, will also cease publication.

The publisher MediaCorp announced on Monday that September will be the magazine’s last issue in Singapore.

Jessie Sng, Head of Men, Women and Parents Customer Group at MediaCorp remarked on the end of FHM Singapore.


“Closing a title is never easy, but the media world is constantly evolving and the media-consumption habits of men have changed over the years. We thank our Singapore FHM readers for their support in the last 10 years,” said Sng.

The company released a statement saying it will focus its resources on new men’s segment projects” that are more relevant to consumers in the “ever changing landscape.”

FHM magazine began publication in 1985 in the United Kingdom under the name For Him Magazine and changed its title to FHM in 1994.


The most recent issue featured actress Jae Liew gracing its cover. Liew is currently the popular star in the long-running Singapore drama Tanglin.
