Final Frontier, director HanzoHazo, and CGI studio Sehsucht have partnered to create an epic launch film for Naraka Championship, a live e-sports tournament for players of the Naraka: Bladepoint game.
Naraka: Bladepoint takes place against the backdrop of the battle between Sunwing and Moonbane – two ancient gods – with the game telling the story of heroes from around the world coming to the legendary Morus Isle to compete for the immortal mask.
The trailer kicks off with Viper Ning, a blademaster of Kunlun, who meditates in her dojo before the action kicks in.
Naraka: Bladepoint comes with its own selection of hero characters that players can select from to compete against each other online.
The inaugural edition of Netease’s international e-sports Naraka Championship 2022 tournament had preliminary rounds in November, with the live final held from Jan 13th to 16th streamed globally due to pandemic restrictions.
“The Netease team were collaborative and open-minded from day one, which meant we were able to shape the storyline and the creative approach together,” said Final Frontier executive producer Chris Colman.
“And Hans and the team were passionate from the moment we shared the brief, throwing their hearts and souls into it. I think ultimately it was these factors that laid the foundation upon which we could build this awesome production.”
