Norway-based electric vehicle charger brand, Easee, has invited Elon Musk for a cup of coffee when he attends the 2022 ONS conference in Norway at the end of August. The company is hoping to engage Musk on the future of e-mobility and whatever else the conversation might lead to.

The brand offered up sitting down for a cup of joe through a Twitter campaign because “What’s the harm in trying? It’s probably easier than deciding what to pack for the long trip to Mars.”

“When you hear Elon Musk is visiting your hometown, what is the first thing you do? You invite him for a coffee of course! So, when we heard he was coming to Stavanger, Norway, we had to act,” the company said on the website musk-city.com.

“After all, we Norwegians are big believers in the power of conversation, and we know that a good cup of coffee works wonders to break the ice.”

The website goes on to say:

“There are many things we’d love to discuss, but top of the list is the future of e-mobility. Currently, transport has the highest reliance on fossil fuels of any sector and accounts for 37% of CO2 emissions from end-use sectors.

Well, we have a little green tech company that is trying to do something about that, and we know he has one too. What if we could put our heads together to make the world a better place for future generations?”

The ball is now in Mr. Musk’s court. Let’s see how he plays it.

One of the company’s founders, Jonas Helmikstøl, shared the transcript of the video hoping to entice Musk to coffee.
