Edelman Singapore Appoints Omar Sotomayor Executive Creative Director

Edelman Singapore has appointed Omar Sotomayor as its new Executive Creative Director. Sotomayor brings over 17 years of experience to the role, having previously worked at Leo Burnett in Chicago and BBH in Singapore on campaigns for clients including McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, P&G, Nike, and IKEA,

He has also been named on Forbes Magazine’s ‘Top 30 Under 30 Professionals in Marketing and Advertising’ and his work included in Contagious Magazine’s list of ‘Most Contagious Campaigns of The Year’.

Sotomayor’s appointment looks to build on Edelman Singapore’s creative credentials, having earned accolades in 2020 and 2021 for its work on Causes for Animals Singapore and Singapore Prison Services. The firm has also produced global creative work for MediaTek, while managing the creative briefs for clients such as Ministry of Defence. In his new role, Sotomayor reports to APAC Chief Creative Officer, Tim Green.
