Edelman Appoints Creator Marketing Leads for India and Southeast Asia

Sushant Vithaldas and Rithan Vijaya will oversee creator marketing across key Asia-Pacific markets.

Edelman has appointed two regional creator marketing leaders in Asia-Pacific as part of its global investment in creator-led marketing. The appointments follow the naming of Kenny Gold as Edelman’s first Global Chief Creator Officer.

The new appointments include Sushant Vithaldas as Head of Creator Marketing, India (based in Mumbai), and Vimlarithan (Rithan) Vijaya as Creator Marketing Leader, Southeast Asia (based in Malaysia).

Together, they will work across the region to deliver creator-led marketing solutions, bringing creator marketing closer to social, paid and performance marketing disciplines to drive culturally relevant, business-impacting work for clients, as per the release.

The release states that the growing client demand across Asia-Pacific is driving the need for locally focused creator-led approaches.

Growth in India

According to the release, Sushant will lead Edelman’s creator marketing offering in India, working across multidisciplinary teams to expand capabilities and drive growth. With over two decades of experience, he joins from Collective Artists Network, where he led revenue growth and strategic brand partnerships across creator ecosystems and new media. Earlier, he worked at Schbang and has also held senior roles at Landmark Group, Dell and Apple in India.

Expanding Creator Strategy in SE Asia

Rithan will lead creator strategy across Southeast Asia. He joins from Monks, where he led creator strategy for regional and global campaigns, and previously helped scale creator ecosystems at Astro and Rocketfuel Entertainment, reportedly.

“In Southeast Asia, where audiences are incredibly diverse, success depends on understanding what people genuinely value and trust,” said Rithan.
