Director Astrid Salomon has joined Airbag’s roster for representation across Australia.
Salomon, who grew up Berlin, lived all over the world before making Australia home. In her early career, she cut her teeth as a photographer, shooting campaigns and editorials for Vogue, Glamour, and Elle.
Known for her strong visual and narrative style, Salomon has shot TV campaigns for Aperol, Lindt, Target, Nivea, and Lidl as well as for European fashion brands such as Amorelie, Peek & Cloppenburg, and Malaika Raiss.
“We’re really excited to have Astrid join us – she has a unique creative spirit,” said Martin Box, EP, Airbag. “The existential and humorous films she made in her time in Quarantine upon her return from Germany are a testament to her talents.”
Salomon’s films have been awarded at major international film festivals including Berlin, VAEFF NYC, Milan, and the Copenhagen Fashion Film Festival.
“I am very excited to be joining Airbag, they have such a collaborative environment and feel like family,” said Salomon. “Yes, the Quarantine stories… Quite honestly, it was the only way not to lose my mind in there, by creating myself a friend I could talk to.”
