DDB Group Hong Kong has bolstered its international business team with the appointments of integrated creative specialist Jamal Hamidi as Executive Creative Director for Global Business (pictured right), and international brand expert Justin Bonnett (left) in a dual role as Head of DDB Live, the agency’s brand activation and experiential marketing arm, and Business Director for International Business.
“Having both worked and lived in a number of different countries across the world, Jamal and Justin bring a large global footprint and many years’ experience to the agency,” said Peter Rodenbeck, Regional VP at DDB Group Hong Kong. “We are very excited to bring our stronger global business unit to market, and offer international clients all the benefits of a well-rounded perspective from within the heart of the Asia Pacific region.”
Cannes award-winning Hamidi returns to DDB Group Hong Kong following an earlier stint with digital specialist arm Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong. He comes onboard from an ECD post at Edelman Australia where he spent the past almost four years spearheading the group’s creative offering across a wide range of industries, for clients such as Samsung, Paypal, KFC, Telstra, Nivea and Kimberly Clark.
Bonnett joins from his role as VP Business Director at Jack Morton Worldwide in Hong Kong, where he worked on revered brands like Audi, Marriott Hotels, Sands China and Tesla. Prior to Jack Morton, Bonnett spent time as Director at Uniplan in Hong Kong, and Commercial Director at Connexion over four years in Brussels, managing international sponsorship campaigns for brands like Porsche, Rolex, Electrolux, UBS and the London 2012 Olympics.
