Dad Comes Back from the Dead to Take His Beloved Toyota Truck for a Spin

According to a new campaign from Toyota, since the HiLux was first launched in Australia back in 1968, “Australians have held a deep emotional connection to the vehicle.”

The brand has partnered with Saatchi & Saatchi Australia show just how deep that connection is – even from the great beyond. The campaign gives all new meaning to the brand’s tagline “Awaken Your Unbreakable.”

The 90-second spot opens on a family sleeping soundly in their home. Suddenly there is a disturbance, books flying of the shelf, and clothes rustling. Apparently it’s dearly-departed dad none to happy that he can’t find the keys to his beloved truck. Worry not, he does.
