ComfortDelGro has launched Zig, a mobile lifestyle platform that combines journey planning, transport booking, and lifestyle discovery into an all-in-one mobile app. The app was created in collaboration with R/GA Singapore.
“While most apps today such as food delivery and e-commerce platforms drive users to online services, Zig is an online-to-offline platform that brings what we are familiar with and use every day—mobility and transport—and make it more seamless through the provision of lifestyle services,” said Liew Wei Chee, CEO of CDG Zig Pte Ltd.
“The idea is to leverage ComfortDelGro’s strengths in taxis and public transport, and to meet our commuters in the digital sphere.”

“We designed the business and tech stack based on a consumer behavior-centric approach and defined the opportunity areas for the business. Zig was then launched through a mobile app-first platform, built upon a sustainable business model.”
Powered by real-time data-driven technology stack, Zig’s goal is to provide users with access to a myriad of functions from finding the best route for their trips, comparing transport prices, booking and paying for rides, to discovering attractions and experiences, making reservations, and finding promotions.
R/GA architected the modern tech stack, in conjunction with MGG Software, and data architecture, together with BasisAI.
R/GA Singapore was also tasked with creating a new brand purpose and design identity for Zig, including its name, look and feel, tone of voice, user experience as well as experience language to reflect the platform’s mission.
