Watch 100 Years of Beauty in China in 60 Seconds

Cut Video is back with the fifteenth installment of its viral ‘100 Years Of Beauty’ series. This time the creative group hones in on the evolution of style in China over the past ten decades.

For the China version, looks and styles generally reflect society at the time, be it the peasant/proletariat look of the 1950s, the nerdy glasses look of the 1980’s or the Korean and K-pop influence that is popular in China these days.

“People should take this video as an introduction, and they should learn – beyond what the looks present- that there’s a huge history behind it all, and that should be the door to learning that,” said researcher Robin Park.
