London-based Casual continues global expansion by adding long-standing Hong Kong content strategy and production agency APV.

Casual Films was founded in 2006, and has grown to over 85 people with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne, and Barcelona. The company has worked with clients including BMW, Google, JPMorgan, HSBC, NBA, Red Bull, and Salesforce.

APV is a leading video creative agency headquartered in Hong Kong, serving multi- national companies in Asia-Pacific. Their approach combines strategy, creative and production to create content that inspires action. Recent accolades include 12 x trophies at the 2021 NYX Awards for content produced for Prudential’s Investor Day virtual event, plus Muse Awards for prestigious clients including Manulife, Hotel Jen, Red Bull and Alibaba’s Jumpstarter.

“Our goal is to build the global video production resource for global business. We have a keen eye on what the future of production looks like,” said Nick Francis, Casual Films CEO.

“APV is so well established in the market in Hong Kong, this deal opens the whole of the Asia Pacific region for us. Giving us on the ground capability from China to Singapore and beyond. The growth of the Greater Bay Area project puts the company at the heart of one of the most important regions for the future global economy.”

Mark Erder, Founding Partner, APV added: “As I transition out of the world of production, I could think of no better home for APV’s staff. And the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. By joining forces with Casual, they now have a more global reach for their amazing work. The excitement is palpable.”
