Burger King bucks Starbucks Minimal – Goes Full on Christmas

Starbucks chose to go minimal this year with their Christmas packaging, which upset some Americans who felt it was a Christmas cop-out.

Burger King, on the other hand, is going all out, announcing their limited edition packaging for the festive holiday –which coincides with their Whopper Wonderland promotion.

The packaging for the holidays features reindeer and mistletoe-printed coffee cups, and a sandwich wrap inspired by Santa’s belly –how appropriate is that for a fast food joint?.

Turner Duckworth agency, which has offices in San Francisco and London, designed the packaging will be released in the UK, as well as select locations in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.

Burger King Christmas 3“The Burger King brand is always looking for innovative ways to surprise and delight our guests – whether it is with our great-tasting new products or a seasonal twist on the guest experience,” said Fabiana Anauate, Marketing VP for the Burger King brand.

“The new, limited-edition packaging gives guests new ways to celebrate the holidays in a very authentic BK way. At Burger King restaurants, we like to encourage all the unique and different ways our guests get into the spirit.”
