“With her promotion, we have highlighted the fact that MINI has created its own culture in Korea, which is not just about sales numbers,” said Kim Hyo-joon, BMW Korea CEO.

“It is meaningful that we have a new woman sales chief. In the future, we will create values by carefully bringing customers’ needs into the market.”

The 43-year-old Joo earned her MBA at the University of Helsinki in Finland in 2003 and her bachelors in Anthropology from Seoul National University in 1995. She has been with BMW Korea since 2007.
