Of the 263 total entries that made the cut for this year’s Outdoor Lions Shortlist, 39 are from Asia.
The Outdoor Lions reward creativity experienced out of home – work which leverages public spaces to telegraph a message or immerse consumers in a brand experience.
Ogilvy led the way with Ogilvy Hong Kong as 7 shortlists for their new KFC “Hot & Spicy” print campaign, while Ogilvy Thailand has 6 shortlists for their Lego “Spaceship, Empire States and Dragon” campaign.
Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong scored 5 shortlists for Chupa Chups, Dentsu Tokyo garnered 4 shortlists for the Advertising Museum of Tokyo and Wunderman Thompson Mumbai also scored 4 shortlists for the Jimmy Nelson Foundation.
Scoring 3 shortlists each this year are Mullen Lowe Singapore for Pepsodent Toothpaste and Ogilvy Philippines for Master Facial Scrub, while Dentsu Impact Gurgaon (Polyfix Instant Glue) and McCann Worldgroup Mumbai (Mindopeners) each had 2 shortlists each.
Single shortlists were attained by BBH Singapore has a single shortlist for Nike Go BKK, Wunderman Thompson Thailand for Narcos: The Censor’s Cut and BBDO Pakistan for Truck Art Childfinder.
