Apple, after announcing the opening of two new stores this month, is edging closer to its goal of opening 40 retail stores in China by October.
On January 16 Apple will cut the ribbon on its second store in East China’s second largest city, Nanjing. The new location is in the IST mall the Xuanwu District. Apple also has a flagship store in Shanghai on the East Nanjing Road.
Another will be open January 28 in Guangzhou, at Parc Central, in the Tianhe District.
Apple has continued an aggressive expansion of its footprint in China under retail chief Angela Ahrendts, with new stores in Xiamen on January 14, Shenyang on January 9, Nanning on December 12, Beijing on November 28 and Chengdu on November 21.
