Ampverse has launched in Southeast Asia with the opening of operations in Singapore and Thailand. The company specializes in connecting brands with gaming and esports audiences.
The market in the region offers a great opportunity with the number of gamers predicted to reach 400 million by 2021 – with over 250 million of those players on mobile devices said Ampverse. Co-founder, Ferdinand Gutierrez is CEO, having previously been Southeast Asia head of marketing for Twitch as well as CEO of Havas Media Thailand.
Fellow co-founders, Chief content officer Matthias Beyer was previously with Twitch as regional director of content and Vice president of content Surasak (Yoon) Winij was previously the country manager at Twitch Thailand.
They are joined by Ampverse’s Singapore-based chief commercial officer Charlie Baillie who was most recently Asia-Pacific managing director at influencer and adtech platform Rhythm One.
