American rapper and singer Amber Josephine Liu also known as Amber, is currently very active on the South Korean music scene. She is a member of the South Korean girl group f(x) but has also been working solo since the release of her EP, Beautiful.
In this mini-drama short for LG Uplus, she takes the classic Cinderella tale with a modern twist.
The ad itself starts out quite fun and interesting, but dies at the end where it becomes obvious that the creative team was told to reign it in and make move for the sales pitch.
Pity. As we’ve seen in many such short like this, just a little branding goes a long way when the audience is allowed to enjoy the clip all the way through with just a hint of actually selling.
The outtakes at the end are cute, but not cute enough to save it.
