All Nippon Airways Runs Ads in London Cheering on Japan World Cup Squad

Following the team’s surprising win over South Africa at the Rugby World Cup, Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA) has launched an advertising campaign on the streets of London to cheer on their team.

Ads can be seen in Piccadilly Circus wishing the national team ‘good luck’ as it tries to advance in the tournament.

Japan lost to Scotland in their most recent match and will next plays Samoa on September 3rd.

Though the team lost 45-10, a record 20 million Japanese tuned into to watch the match.

“These broadcast numbers from Japan are truly incredible,” said World Rugby chief executive Brett Gosper.“The victory over the Springboks has given the game a welcome shot in the arm that comes at a perfect time as Japan prepares to host Rugby World Cup 2019.”
