Advertising Industry Mourns the Loss of Thai Creative Nantawat ‘Golf’ Chaipornkaew

Thai creative director Nantawat “Golf” Chaipornkaew died suddenly yesterday in Bangkok. Passing at only 41 years old, his death has left the Thai advertising industry saddened at the loss.

Golf was most recently founder and creative synergist at NAWIN Consultant – a company he formed after leaving his role as Cheif Creative Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi Thailand in 2017.

Over the course of his creative career, he also worked with Ogilvy Shanghai, BBH in Singapore and London, Jung von Matt in Hamburg, JWT in Tokyo, and Y&R in Hong Kong.


Golf won Gold at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and also took home a wide range of awards from regional and global shows including, D&AD, Clio, Adfest, Eurobest, ADC, Spikes Asia, and Epica.

We wish to express our deepest condolences to Golf’s family, friends, and the Thai advertising community, for this tragic loss.

Golf’s last post on Facebook on November 30th has brought about an outpouring of sadness.
