Snoop Dogg, Frank Sinatra Part of Wildly Impressionistic Adidas Campaign Spot


Adidas Originals has released a campaign film, ‘Original is Never Finished’, which features a slew of celebrities from a wide spread of genres “to inspire a new generation of creators to redefine the meaning of originality.”

Featuring Snoop Dogg, Dev Hynes, Stormzy, Mabel, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Brandon Ingram, Petra Collins, Gonz, and Lucas Puig in tow, the Original Is Never Finished campaign explores the philosophy behind adidas’s popular sub-brand while calling on the new generation of creators to redefine the what it means to be original.

And while the film has racked up 4.9 million views on YouTube, it’s been criticized for featuring “satanist” and “creepy” imagery. Other however have applauded the ad’s creativity.

“Everything we do for adidas Originals is a work in progress, as true creativity is never finished”, said Alegra O’Hare, VP of Global Communications at the brand. “We are constantly challenging ourselves and breaking down the boundaries that limit imagination; we hope to inspire all creators to do the same. We first raised this idea in 2015 through our work, questioning the very meaning of the word.”
